*Face aux murs* explores the dynamics of human relationships in a world in constant flux. Damien DROIN delves into the heart of an inner struggle, recounting the moments of disorientation and doubt he experiences in his interactions with others and with himself. Yet this story is meant to be optimistic, exploring humanity’s capacity to adapt, to push beyond one’s limits, to start over, and to reinvent oneself.
For every wall built, a ladder can be cobbled together. For every fall, a flight can be dreamed of.

Six solitary acrobats find themselves on a dizzying Plexiglas wall flanked by two trampolines. Alternately witness and participant in their own desires and doubts, each character explores their dark side and their hidden courage. The courage to let go? The courage to carry on? In a constantly shifting setting, each character’s world is turned upside down in unexpected ways. Beyond its striking visual appeal, the acrobatic staging allows us to delve into the personal struggles and shared challenges we all face. Immense and insurmountable, a wall on stage separates people, ideas, and spaces. Only one side is visible; the other remains open to the imagination. Falls and leaps become metaphors for a world to which we should not simply adapt, but one we can make our own. For how can we build a society when exclusion and individualism have become the norm?

This play unveils a kaleidoscopic story in which the human body becomes a space of freedom and where relationships with others often prove to be the only solace against the call of the void.
