BiBaCoHa - Big Band de Hagondange

"Bibacoha is not just another "Glenn Miller"-style big band, but an exploration of the worlds of jazz and Afro-American music. Since its creation by Laurent Kiefer in October 1998 at the Hagondange Conservatoire, Bibacoha has been a place of discovery, exchange and encounter.
Throughout its two decades of existence, the orchestra has played numerous standards, then expanded its repertoire with more original titles, thanks to the talented arrangements of Sébastien Blaud and Grégory Blaud, drawing new sources of inspiration from funk, hip-hop and world music.
After two wonderful years under the direction of Tom Massot, Bibacoha then a year with Denis Zielinski, Bibacoha continues its adventure with Maël Leveque, synthesizing these two dynamics: exploring contemporary jazz without forgetting its vocation of transmission. Always with the same good humor!
Since its creation, Bibacoha has performed at Les Trinitaires (Metz), a major jazz venue in Moselle, at L'Arsenal (Metz), at La Passerelle (Florange) and at several festivals: Nancy Jazz Pulsation (2004 and 2018), Marly Jazz Festival, Grenoble Métropole Jazz Festival (2017), Jazzpote (Thionville, 2018)...
Bibacoha has also played with regional (Damien Prud'homme and François Cochet) and national jazz stars (the Paris Washboard, Antoine Hervé, Jean-Marie Machado, nOx.3 and, above all, Didier Lockwood and Christophe Panzani). Philippe Engel "
