What to see and do for people with reduced mobility
Visually impaired people
Discover Thionville in Braille
Pays Thionvillois Tourisme, in collaboration with Braille & Culture, has published two booklets designed for visually impaired visitors:
- one in large print and contrasting colors for the visually impaired
- the other in Braille script and raised drawings for the visually impaired.
These booklets, which enable visitors to discover the heritage of central Thionville, can be borrowed against an identity card on request. They are also used to organize guided group tours for people in these situations.
Hiking in the region

The Rando’LSF 57 group invites you to discover the Moselle department through sign language hikes.
They organize two hikes a month (on weekends) between Thionville and Metz:
- a short hike of around 5km for people less accustomed to walking
- a 10 km hike for the more athletic.
The aims of this group are to discover the region, chat with people who speak LSF and offer a sporting activity.
