  • A characteristic smell of chalk and wax, an inkwell in which to dip your pen to write, large blackboards: welcome to the beginning of the last century, in the Metzervisse schoolroom. After an introduction to the subject, the volunteer teacher will show the little pupils how school worked in days gone by, and then welcome them into the "classroom" to practise writing with a pen and measure themselves against the teacher's authority, plus many other surprises.
