The soul of a space worth preserving
The espace d'art Suzanne Savary is a popular, warm and lively venue. It recalls a history of fine exhibitions and dialogues with the Adagio concert hall and the Conservatoire. Its strong visual character gives it its own identity, thanks to architectural features such as the half-columns, glass roof and windows that surround it.
The exhibition program is based on these features, and features artists whose work is capable of dialoguing with the space. Installations, objects, sculptures, casts and other works in volume inhabit the surface. The artist and the space respond to each other in a scenography designed to enhance this exchange. The result is a captivating dynamic of visual and conceptual strength. What's more, the luminous space, open onto the building, offers the public the chance to view the artistic proposals from the outside.
Like an aquarium, the Suzanne Savary art space exists through current artistic proposals, and evolves with each event to create a constantly renewed sense of surprise and wonder.
