Louis Pasteur! We know his name, but do we really know the man?
Philoléthos, a "friend of the truth", decides to investigate to find out more about him.

Meeting his wife Marie, his daughter Marie-Louise and his loyal collaborators, as well as other people who crossed his path, such as little Joseph Meister, who was the first person to be vaccinated against rabies, he gradually lifts the veil that has covered the statue for over a century. He will enter the scientist's private world, penetrate the secrecy of his laboratory. He will see the struggles he had to wage against his adversaries, and the doubts that beset him.

For beyond the epinal image, we find a man with his strengths and weaknesses, a man who lived his emotions and feelings to the full, a man who persisted, against all odds, in his lifelong search for what he believed to be the truth.
