There are four of them, four guys in blue sneakers, if not Blue Suede Shoes. Four Elvis fans who, every August 16, the day their idol died, get together to celebrate him. For one night, Jean-Damien, Joël, Pascal and Mathurin
think they're the King, because life might be a whole lot better in a sequined suit. But this August 16 will be different... A tribute to Elvis or to his fans, a satire of look-alikes à la Podium? Not really, no. Rather, Héloïse Ravet's project is a poetic exploration of the difficulty of being oneself. To feel like they exist, her fragile-souled anti-heroes try on another skin, another voice, to see if it helps. In the end, it's this shared fiction that gives them courage and hope... A tender fable about friendship, shared passions and the warmth of the communities we build to get through life.
