CONCERT BRUNO ANGELINI TRIO - TRANSATLANTIC ROOTS

Transatlantic Roots is a highly cinematic program, with the pieces following one another like tableaux whose internal dramaturgy can be followed. A panoramic journey through the culture of musician Bruno Angelini's protest America, he summons figures from the artistic and societal fields who denounce and combat inequality. As always, Bruno Angelini stands out for his restrained lyricism, meticulous melodies, great sense of space and acute sound research.

The electronic keyboards are used with elegance and relevance. Fabrice Martinez, with his refined trumpet inflections, and the splendid French drummer Eric Échampard, capable of bringing down lightning or distilling feline strokes, are of particular note.
